Bridal Shoe Fashion Trends
By Roxana Oliver
Well, well, well, if it isn’t the bride to be? Your big day has finally arrived! Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue, everything is here. Uh-oh wait a second. Are you feeling a little bit chilly on your feet? What’s wrong? Oh my, you forgot the shoes! Okay, don’t freak out, calm down, you came to the right place. Your little wedding shoe guide is here.
Strappy heel sandals
Classy, stylish and sophisticated. If you have a simple wedding dress, get a pair of multi-strap sandals to make a little contrast. Pick the colour depending on your taste, but the best would be to choose white, silver, champagne or gold ones. On the other hand, if your dress is complex or cluttered, opt for single-strap heel sandals instead. They will make a great balance and they will also fit everything perfectly. As for the colour, white, nude, champagne, silver or gold single-strap heels will be great choices, and they are very happening at the moment.
Pointed toe heels
The absolute classic and a must-have pair. Not only are they never going to go out of style, they are also very comfortable and classy. With their simple and unique shape, they fit any garment, even the wedding dresses. A white or a nude pair of these can match almost any wedding dress. The best thing is that you can wear them later also – from a simple evening park stroll all the way to some party event (What? You are married, not dead. Party on!).
Flats
If you have a long wedding dress or just hate wearing heels, feel free to choose flat shoes. Nobody can make you wear heels if you can’t or don’t want to. It’s not a rule. Some ladies even got married wearing All-Stars. So why couldn’t you? There are a lot of nice satin ballet flats with many different designs and colours. You can choose white or nude ones or, if you are a fan of shiny, choose ones with zircons to really feel like Dorothy from Oz. If you like to mix things up, you can opt for monochrome flats with some cute details on the front part, like crystal flowers for example. Also, even if you choose to wear heels, bring a pair of flats with you just in case; you never know when your feet will become sore. And you have a long day and night in front of you.
Boots
Calm down, we are not talking about real boots. We are talking about cute little bridal boots. They are also known as booties and are super trendy, especially in fall weddings this year. Think of them as lace heel boots. They are super cute, trendy and really made a breakthrough lately. You can find them in ankle design or in a deeper stilleto option, and they are adorable.
Open toe heels with cute accessories
So simple and so beautiful – those are the words to describe these beauties. They are the evergreen elements and they will always be the main choice of all brides. You can find them with all kinds of small side touches (like needlework flowers or bows), zircons or huge bows, flowers or other accessories on the back part of the shoe. Classy and fabulous.
Remember what our beloved Marilyn Monroe once said: “Give a girl the right pair of shoes and she can conquer the world!” Well, this applies to all types of shoes, even the wedding ones. We hope we helped you or at least gave you an inspiration. Be careful with your choice and have a lovely wedding!
