A Gift for the Bride and Groom

A Gift for the Bride and Groom

As many of you know my boyfriend’s sister, Lauren, is getting married in three days…holy cow! Only three days – I can’t believe it’s here already!

Lauren and her fiancé Cade had a joint bachelor/bachelorette party a few weeks ago up at a lake cabin. We were sitting down at the beach and I noticed all the pretty rocks in the water. Then I had an idea! I collected a bunch of stunning rocks and took them home with me (well I forgot them at the cabin, but Lauren brought them home for me!).

As pictures from the fête appeared on Facebook, I printed a group photo off and headed to Hobby Lobby for a rustic, wooden frame.

Now I’m in the process of gluing the rocks from the lake on the frame! I can’t wait to show Lauren – I think I’ll give it to her and Cade the day before the wedding.

It’s a super simple craft that I think will make Lauren and Cade smile. How cool that the rocks are from the lake where the party was?!

I truly believe in making weddings special. Gifts don’t have to be fancy or expensive, but try to make them meaningful.

What have you made or seen made for brides and grooms as gifts? Have you made anything special? We’d love to hear!
