podcasts – what?
Podcasts seem to be the rage right now and rightly so. You can learn a ton by listening to entrepreneurs and their guest speakers on every subject imaginable and the best part is you can listen on the go.
Let’s back up for a second and make sure we all know what a podcast is, and right from the internet dictionary:
PODCAST –
A digital audio file made available on the Internet for downloading to a computer or mobile device, typically available as a series, new installments of which can be received by subscribers automatically.

I LOVE…
Can I just say I LOVE listening to podcasts! I have a few favorites that I’d like to share, but first, why should you be listening to podcasts?
For me it’s knowledge. I’ve shared before about how I love to learn, and what a perfect way to optimize my time. I have to be moving. Sitting in front of the computer all day about kills me, even though some days it just has to be that way.
That is why I’ve considered the Audible app for audio books. But it’s just another payment every month that I don’t want to add to my budget. Am I off topic? Moving on…
There are several ways to listen, but the easiest way is to get an app for your phone. That way you can put in your earbuds, throw the phone in your pocket and do those tasks that are normal and mundane.
You know the ones – cleaning the house, doing laundry, mowing the lawn, watering the garden. I’m sure you can come up with a few of your own right?
So Different…
Hubby Les and I are so different! I would have spent all night researching podcast phone apps and he just took my phone, found one, and it was a done deal, yes! Les found an app called Castbox and it works great for me. I have an Android phone, did I just hear sighs? Lol, my husband does not like Apple products, and since I’m not the techie in the house it’s just best to go with it.
I know there are several other podcast apps as well; google comes in very handy for this exercise of finding an app. Just download the app that looks best for you and you’ll be set. Les and I do need each other to navigate in life, and especially in the techie world where I tend to get lost.
The best part about a podcast is that it provides a way to optimize your time while being inspired to learn new things; personal growth is important. A podcast is free, plus you can find one on just about any topic you choose, and you can listen anywhere at anytime you like.
Now let me share a few of my favorites that I have in my Castbox app under subscribed.
